"a video file" is somewhat vague. It'd help if you could figure out what format Lineage 2 uses. If it's bink video, it should be possible. If it's something proprietary to the game, then you're SOL.

Ah, FRAPS. Download Fraps, and you can take video in-game. Fraps does not convert files, it tapes video of in game screens.
Yeah, that format is not something you can convert. FRAPS will work with most games (unless the game is weird and the video isn't played within the hardware-accelerated environment). It'll record it into an .avi file, which you should be able to do whatever you want with.
