Five hours into the build, and here's my progress so far:

This is probably six to seven hours of work now, and the first major step is done. The mechanical core of the chassis is finished.

Final tally is about 14 hours of build time. Had to re-spool the hook's string twice before I figured out which way it was supposed to go around, but other than that it was fairly straightforward.

Wow, these designs are becoming increasingly technical. Very good stuff! It certainly gives you a good insight into some of the engineering that goes behind these big rigs, doesn't it?
If you were to hook this up to a Mindstorms kit or something, you could program it to terrorize the random clutter we know lurking about your room, haha.
